The 100% Lake Taupo Charitable Trust today announced that their September Grant is now open, with applications due by 30 September.

Trust Chairman, David Steele, said that the Trust has been steadily growing a reserve pool of funds with the goal of undertaking an ongoing programme of annual granting activity.

“With our events like Zero Risk King of the Ring we’ve paid grants to the groups directly involved, and then kept some funds in reserve to build our community grant fund” explains David. “Over 100 different groups have benefited from a grant or donation from us since we started in 2009, with literally hundreds of thousands of dollars being returned to the community.”

“As we have a modest $20,000 to give away for the September round, we are capping grants to a maximum of $3,000 per organisation but we know that even this amount can make a big difference to the hard working charitable groups and organisations in our district,” says David. “Groups have received funds from us over the past 12 months will not be eligible for consideration, so we’re hoping to see some new groups apply that haven’t previously benefited from a grant from us.”
